Things to do
Climb aboard our customized jeeps for an unforgettable adventure into Yala National Park’s ancient wilderness, where Sri Lanka’s most magnificent creatures roam freely across landscapes sculpted by time itself. Home to Sri Lanka’s widest variety of wildlife, safaris often yield sightings of leopards, elephants, sloth bears, spotted deer, buffalo, crocodiles and any of the 215 species of birds living here, including the rare black-necked stork. Yala’s bio-diverse tapestry of dry forests, scrubland, plains, lakes, rocky outcrops and wild rugged coastline fosters around 44 species of mammal too.
Our shared game drives are led by our experienced in-house Rangers who use their intimate knowledge to navigate toward pristine corners where wildlife moves unhurriedly through their natural rhythms, creating space for authentic, unhurried observation. They can identify Yala’s leopards by individuality, and their knowledge promises to transform every encounter into a profound communion with nature.
We honour the ancient patterns of the wild by offering safaris during nature’s most active hours—dawn’s golden light and afternoon’s cooling embrace—when leopards emerge to patrol their ancient routes and elephants gather at hidden waterholes. Each journey becomes a meditation on the delicate balance between humanity and wilderness, witnessed within Yala’s bio-diverse sanctuary
Additionally, we offer private and exclusive game drives into Block 1 of Yala National Park.
