Udawalawe National Park Safari

Afternoon shadows stretch across the golden grasslands of Udawalawe National Park as your safari begins, when the ancient rhythms of the wild stir to life. This extraordinary sanctuary shelters between 100 to 200 resident elephants, creating one of Asia’s most remarkable wildlife encounters.

Under the guidance of expert rangers who understand every call and movement, you’ll witness herds of 25-50 magnificent Asian elephants moving with profound grace across the landscape. Each sighting becomes deeply emotional as these gentle giants reveal their complex social bonds and ancient wisdom. Beyond elephants, the park harbours over 100 bird species during migration seasons, weaving together a complete portrait of Sri Lanka’s wild heritage. This sanctuary offers transformative moments, creating a profound connection with nature’s eternal stories.
