Our resort is located in Pasikuda, in the Batticaloa District, which is situated on the eastern coast of Sri Lanka. This tranquil little town is renowned for its wide golden beaches and its stunning bay.
It is 280 km away from the Bandaranaike International Airport and local flights that can take you to the Batticaloa Airport in less than an hour are also available. From there, it is only a short drive to our hotel in Pasikuda.
The resort is surrounded by natural wonder – golden sands, coral reefs teeming with exotic marine life, and many wildlife sanctuaries. It is also close to several historic sites including the ancient ruins of Polonnaruwa, underwater shipwrecks from World War II, and an old Dutch fort.
Just like most of Sri Lanka’s coastal areas, the Pasikuda weather is almost always warm and sunny. However, the best months to visit this part of the island is between the months of March and October.
The ocean waters here are warm and extremely calm throughout the year, as the reef-protected bay keeps the waves from swelling.
From November to February, conditions are wetter and the ocean beyond the bay turns slightly rougher. Fear not though, because in Sri Lanka, it’s never cold at the beach.
